Hello and welcome to blog guide with Sharifah 101!
In this chapter, I will show you how to approach collaborations with other bloggers who have the same or similar niches as you!
I will also, show you the importance of having a social media account for your blog.
If this blog post isn't exactly what you need to help you with your blog collaborations and social media, I’ll add two YouTube videos at the end of this blog post.

Let’s begin.
Collaborations
When you want to collaborate with another blogger, make sure the blogger you
want to collaborate has a style that is compatible to yours.
If you want to collaborate with a blogger, Make sure you read some of their blog posts before you contact them via email or social media.
When you want to email or message them, compliment their blog post and how and why you’re interested to collaborate with them.
If they don’t respond, it’s not the end of the world!
Find another blogger who is interested to collaborate with you.
If the blogger responds, share your ideas for the collaboration.
If she/he has another blog post idea, don’t worry because at least, you’re sharing ideas with another blogger.
Your blog post ideas for the collaboration have to link to your blog niche.
An example
Niche: food
A blogger I want to collaborate with: @lov3lyfoods (not a real Instagram account)
Blog post ideas: How to bake a perfect cake, three delicious dessert treats, etc…
When you and the person agree with a blog post idea, make sure you set a date to publish/upload your blog post.
If the person you’re collaborating lives in another country, set a date and time when you both want to upload/publish your blog post.
Social media
Social media is an amazing way to promote your blog because its very rare now a days to find someone who doesn't have at least one social media account. Since a lot of people use social media, make an account for your blog (if you want) to promote your blog posts.
Following: you can follow anyone, however, make sure you follow bloggers with a similar blog niche as yourself. Don’t follow a lot of people when you first create your social media account.
Followers: if someone follows you that doesn’t seem weird, follow them back.
Posts: Make sure you post 1 or 2 photos a day to be active.
If you’re busy with exams or work, you don’t have to post every day.
When you want to post a photo, make sure you put hashtags, not a lot of hashtags.
I think you should add at least 7-10 hashtags, not like 20 hashtags. This is because you don’t want your Instagram account to look like a spam account.
HASHTAGS WITH SHARIFAH
When you hashtag something, make sure it links to your blog content or the photo.
Examples
Make sure the hashtags doesn’t have over 1 million photos because of other bloggers with the same or similar niche as you wouldn’t find your photo and your account.
Blog post promotion
When you want to promote your blog post, make sure you write something like…
Hi, my blog post on how to bake a perfect cake with @lov3lyfoods is on my blog!
The link is on my bio
#food #blogpostcollab #foodbloggeruk #teenblogger #britishblogger #ukblogger #bloggeruk #foodblogpost
Put your blog post link in your bio.
